Alabama Family Ties envisions a State of Alabama in which families raising children who have mental, emotional, and behavioral disabilities receive social support in their communities and are treated as experts by professionals in all child serving systems; and their children remain at home, in school, out of trouble, and grow up to live independently.

Alabama Family Ties (AFT) works to end stigma and discrimination against families raising children who have mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and to increase the availability of and access to high quality services for children and youth with serious emotional disturbances in all child serving systems.
